Cheticamp Solid Hardwood Rug Hooking Frame

Our Cheticamp frame is made in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia from Canadian hardwood.  

It measures 40" by 18" and about 32" high. You can adjust the height of your chair to fit the frame. It does not tilt but provides a flat table-like surface that is taut and makes it easy to hook.

It includes the gears. The gears are already mounted on the frame and allow you to roll your rug so you can make it the length you want with a width up to 40.

This the frame that I use and here is why I love it:

• It allows me to hook with my hands free.
• It acts as a table so I can lay out the wool I am using on it.
• It is always set up and ready to go so I can hook for ten minutes easily.
• It allows me to pull the frame right up to me so I do not have to lean in to my frame so much.
• When I am not using it, it comes apart and stores under a bed. This also makes it easily transportable.
• It allows me to hook more quickly.
• I can see most of my rug, or a large area of a big rug as I am hooking it.
• I can hook several small pieces on it at once on it.
• It allows me to hook a very large rug without feeling the weight of it by rolling it as I go.
