Yarn and fabrics add a lot of texture to rug hooking but do they take away from the original art of hooking….your opinion?

Alexis, I think all art and craft grows and changes over time and for craft to survive this is important. I do still love the tradition way of cut cloth on burlap. Rug hooking has evolved a lot over the years. Traditionally we only used our own wool clothes cut up and hooked on feed bags. Great question!

It may draw more people to the art as some traditional styles may not appeal to some.
