July ~ Little Houses on the Edge of the Forest ~ Workshop: Studio Workshop Series

This sweet rug reminds me of the cottages along the North Shore, full of vibrant colour and innocent charm. Join me for a creative day of rug hooking as we capture the spirit of seaside living, loop by loop. We’ll play with colour, texture, and design to bring your own cheerful cottage scene to life.

Cathy Crowe has been hooking for 10 years and has been working at Deanne Fitzpatrick Studio for a little over 2 years. She is taking the DFS Teachers Course this fall. Cathy enjoys hooking rugs that have meaning to her.

Come join us for an afternoon where you will learn how to hook this sweet DFS pattern of Little Houses on the Edge of the Forest. Cathy will teach you:

• how to outline the houses
• the secrets to using bold colours
  
• hooking an intricate foreground full of various colours and textures
  
• how to hook a tree line

This workshop includes a complete kit on linen, tea, oatcakes and instruction, and a beautiful afternoon at Deannes Studio. Deanne will likely be around to help pour the tea!

You just need to bring your hook and frame.
