Rebooting Tradition Heritage Collection: The faded old rugs long forgotten from cottage floors and drafty houses are the inspiration to re-imagine the traditional colours and techniques in rug hooking from long ago to today. The old fashioned traditional hit and miss-that my mom loved, antique roses and simple motifs of traditional hooked rugs inspire this collection. The rebooted heritage colour combinations in these yarns will inspire you to think about mats for your floor.
Sugar Beet is Atlantic 3 ply Briggs and Little- colour curated for the studio and this series. We know you will enjoy the feel and affects in your rugs that this yarn creates.
Hayes Green, Antique Rose, Milkweed, Antique Black, Old Blue Shirt, Sugar Beet, Emma's House Gold & Mountain Green.
ATLANTIC – 100% Wool, 3 ply, 14 sts = 4″ (10cm) on 6mm needles,
136 yds (124m)/skein. Put up in 4 oz. (113g) skeins
Our "Studio-Dyed" wools are dyed in-house by artists. Yarns are normally dyed in lots of eight and our color fabrics by the yard. Each time we create a new dye lot we update the picture on the website to ensure that you can see what you are ordering. No two are exactly alike. Water temperature, dyes, mordants and repositioning the wool all affect the colouring of the final product.
Dying wool is an art form and each skein is as unique as it is beautiful.
Drop by and have some tea and homemade oatcakes.
