What a great surprise to tune into the Live and see Heather Horsfall and you talking about Doris Eaton and what an influence she had on both of you.! I have such fond memories of Doris , who was a neighbor of mine during my summer sojourns on Bell Island. Her influence is certainly felt in my work, as is yours. It was good to spread the word about Doris, her legacy lives on through the work of her mentees who in turn spread to others as Heather and you are doing. RIP Doris, your work lives on in rug hookers everywhere.

Thank you for this Thursday Live. I feel full after watching these, like I just ate. Your Goldenrod rug is divine! I love that you are sharing your rug hooking journey with us. We say out here that we can’t pick colors, or draw a pattern or commit to finishing a rug without tearing it out or loving it, and yet we watch you do all of these things. These houses you drew today are different than the ones I have seen you draw before. You are showing us that the mentor continues to grow, so as we should embrace growing and revel in the fact that we are all doing it together. I am feeling like I did as a child, that anything I create is good for creating’s sake. Thank you Miss Deanne!

Wow! I am mesmerized watching you draw. Waiting for the next element that appears so quickly on the linen. I could watch you draw all day!

Love the rug you finished today!! You are an amazing artist, just pulling out the backing and drawing away – I love to watch it become a beautiful picture! Thank you for all of your amazing tips :)
