I do love the Thursday Lives with all the interaction so I am one of the folks missing them, and hope they come back soon in some form! Not having any sort of fiber shop nearby that I can drop in to, the ‘Lives’ bring a little bit of that shopping experience into my week; what’s changed in the shop, who’s working on what. what’s coming up…also, now that I’m retired the ‘Lives’ also bring back that feeling of being in the break room at work and hearing what’s going on in the lives of others day to day, because yes, what ARE we all making for dinner (again?!!!) where we have been to lately, and where are we off to next! However I do understand that everyone, including/especially all the lovely, brilliant folks at DFS, deserve a break now and then, and the time to try something different. As for Labor Day, I spent it going through my mother’s cookbook collection that she left me last year – if I was out of dinner ideas before, I shouldn’t be now! :)

Thank you for sharing that Maxine it is so nice to hear, we will be switching between the two different ways of filming. Hope you figured out what was for supper in your collection of cookbooks!

Hello…. Absolutely gorgeous rug 🥰. I tired to look at previous lives but I just can’t find it… can you please share what the single strand of electric blue that’s in the sea curves? It’s not the darker blue but rather the lighter medium but very bright blue. I’ve tried to comb the yarn catalog as well and just can’t seem to find it. Sorry to bother you with this and thank you so much in advance. Hope your fall is going well 🍂

I am not sure what yarn I used there. Sorry. The lives are all under lives on our website under lives!

Hi Jacqueline, thank you for watching I believe it may be Back Country Atlantic Ice or Studio Dyed Caribbean Bliss. Hope this helps!

I tried to tune into the lives every week, and I look forward to listening to the conversations you all have about rug hooking, recipes, studio happenings, and upcoming events. The relationships that you all have come through beautifully when you’re together.

Thank you Christine, the people that work here make it even more special!
Alexandra
Are you doubling the yarn? it looks as though the loops are doubled as you pull them. I enjoy the banter and chatting between you and Angela and others, but often think that I would like to hear more about how you’re hooking – techniques, tips, etc.

Deanne Fitzpatrick Rug Hooking Studio replied:
Deanne often double her yarn while hooking. Thank you for watching Alexandra, we will go back and forth from just Deanne filming and Angela and Lorna filming with her.

Enjoyed this Live but definitely miss the other friendly voices, the humour and ad lib feeling.
