I also LOVE the Halifax library and had the good luck to hear Emma Donoghue speak there. I find her books, except The Paris Express, hard to read ; but she is a very entertaining speaker. I was also very impressed by the welcoming children’s floor. I hold this library in my mind as a model for how great a library can be. Fun fact : Angela worked there What a great place for a hook-in and show.I wish I could go.
