Put a tablespoon of tapioca in the pie filling to thicken.

I just finished reading Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. I highly recommend this book.
Sue
King Arthur Flour In Vermont has a pie thicker that works great. I highly recommend it.

Just read All the Colour in the World by C. S. Richardson, a great literary book that raises interesting topics… PTSD and the value of art for healing. Many references to colour. Also just nominated for the Giller.

Good morning Deanne and everyone. I love watching you create a new canvas, like the evergreens you drew today!

I was on a roll with my ten minutes a day and even had everything ready for my daughter to join in up in the bush at the cabin by the lake and then a huge forest fire came in and destroyed all our structures, and trees, and lovely serenity. Luckily, I got the frame , wool, etc. out but my plan to keep hooking in the amazing light with windows on both sides every morning before anyone got up was foiled. I don’t think I can ever reproduce the ambience of that corner of light in the old cabin porch.
I love the way you draw trees, Deanne.

I’m reading a wonderful book “The Berry Pickers” by Amanda Peters .. very timely as it’s set against the annual blueberry pickers going from NS to Maine
Lisa
They used to burn to ‘refresh’ the blueberry crop

Yes more learning for fall. A book that came out in 2005 by Dr. Vincent Lam: Bloodletting and Miraculous Cures fantastic. Our Church book club doing. Based on true experiences of medical students.
Lisa
I was in a shop awhile ago and one young woman asked if they had a button sewing course. It is very important to pass this knowledge on
I agree with the reading turning to learning , it’s like a new beginning, a ‘new year’.
Audrey
I read more books about family and personal growth.
