Hooking your Life in an Abstract Rug

This workshop will be about writing your story inside an abstract rug. Deanne will create a pattern similar (approx. 30" x 30") to the one shown here with space for some words or short sentences. You can also create your own pattern with Deanne's assistance if you would like.
This workshop will focus on selecting a colour palette and words or phrases that represent your life. There will be activities to help you clarify what is important and what colours you would like to choose for your rug followed by lessons on how to add words and writing in a hooked rug and create a background around it.
This delightful workshop will be a beautiful follow up to the colour and blending workshop at the studio but there is no prerequisite. Come with an open heart willing to learn and explore abstract rug hooking and writing in your rugs,
This is an in studio workshop and alternate dates will be provided if the weather is not good!
Workshop Hours 10am to 3pm
Studio will be open 9 to 5.
You will receive :
A full and beautiful day in the studio with instruction and one on one with Deanne
A pattern on linen with a wool texture pack for the writing in the rug.
Coffee, tea, snacks, and a light lunch.

A non refundable deposit of $100 is included in the fee
