Welcome to Creativity School for Rug Hookers

If you learn to build your creative intuition you can make better rugs. And I can teach you how to build your intuition for rug hooking. It is what I use to make beautiful nature inspired rugs.

This three part live and recorded course will help you unlock the creative intuition deep inside you and let it move through your hands.

In this class, I show you how to claim your intuition and let it guide you through sketching a design and manifesting it into a completed rug. Along the way you will see how intuition can lead to crushing failures and stunning successes, and learn to read the natural deep knowledge stored inside you.

There will be lessons on:

Intuitive drawing and pattern making

Trusting your own judgement in choosing texture, line and colour.

Accessing and trusting your own deep knowledge.

Learning to see what is in front of you that can improve your rugs.

Distinguishing between experience and intuition for rug hooking.

Moving away from literal interpretations of nature and exploring the art of rug hooking.

Hooking in all directions and exploring the use of lines in rug hooking. 

Getting quiet with the wool so you can listen to your own intuition.

This course includes:

• Over three hours of recorded video lessons.
• A downloadable 24 by 25" nature inspired pattern called Fauna and Floral. This pattern is also available on burlap and linen.
• Pre-recorded webinar lessons with Deanne.
• The Intuitive Rug Hooking Workbook.
• You will receive a PDF document containing a link to the course and a password to gain access

Who is this course for?

It is for anyone who wants to develop their intuition to hook better rugs. 

What if I can’t draw?

It does not matter. We will be using simple sketches to create a pattern or you can choose to order the pattern that this class inspired. 

What materials will I need?

You will need a sketch book, a variety of pencils or pens, a design to hook as you take the course.

Are materials included in the cost?

Materials are not included in the cost of the course. 

When does the Intuitive Rug Hooking Course begin?

As soon as you purchase the course you can begin learning.

Do I have to go to classes at a certain time?

No. You can do the course at your own pace, on your own time, logging into the website whenever you want.

How does the course work?

You just log in to the course on our website with your password. When you purchase the course you will receive a password and link to the Intuitive Rug Hooking Course.

The material will remain up on the website for you indefinitely. You can access it anytime. Once you take the course the lessons are yours to keep for as long as you like.
