Abstract Sails 16" x 24" - Rug Hooking Pattern or Kit

For generations, homemakers bought rug hooking patterns from pedlars who came to their door. In the early 1900s, they could order them from catalogs and make something beautiful for their homes.

Anyone can hook when working with a pattern. When you have a pattern, all you have to do is outline each element and fill it in, playing with colour as you go.

When designing a new pattern, I'm inspired by life around me and the things I see in the landscape. I make these patterns so you can get right into hooking rugs without having to worry about creating designs. They're meant to inspire you. I encourage you to adapt the patterns and make them your own!

All patterns are available as custom kits complete with a mixture of yarn, wool cloth strips, and textures to complete the project, a hook, instructions, colour key with pattern printed on linen or burlap.
