I loved Demon Copperfield, as did my mum, who’s in her late 90s. A good book is a great way to learn about how others live.
While I agree with all you said about helping someone and I love your courses, I won’t be doing the winter course. I’ve never lived by the sea and I’ve never in my more than 7 decades seen women dressed like the women in the pattern so I can’t identify with the picture. I’m too much a city girl, no matter that I understand it. Like some of the art I have, I can appreciate it but from a distance.
I like to hook after mid-afternoon when I feel nothing else calling to me to be done.

I believe there is a waiting list! It’s worth the wait.

Demon Copperhead is a powerful book, at times difficult to read. I almost put it away a couple times. I did finish reading it and it gave me a lot to consider. It is one of Barbara Kingsolver’s best books. If you haven’t already, you should check out Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life. It is an inspirational book about her family’s quest to be self-sufficient on their farm for one year. Eating foods produced as locally as possible is so important, especially now.

I’ve heard the same thing from many people about Demon Copperhead, can’t wait to listen to more of the audiobook!
