I notice that everyone is working on gripper frames. How is the oulling if the yarn addressed? I’ve used Press & Seal but open to suggestions. Thanks

Most people have press and seal on their frames, that is the only suggestion I know of. There may be some more suggestions if you ask in wild with wool on facebook.

I joined a group this year in my neighbourhood which meets weekly, wonderful ladies that have been so helpful. Most of them have been hooking for at least 35 years. I also did my first workshop this year , Celtic letter , which was a three day workshop in my area as well.

That is great you were able to join a group of rug hookers in your area, you may be able to teach them something you learned in your course.

I’ve gone to a craft group, and there were a few rug hookers there. They showed me a few things, but they weren’t teachers they have gone to other shows , out of state. I live in a very small remote town in Michigan and there is really nothing to offer around here so I have it just trying to learn on my own.

I’ve gone to two hook in events in Boone, Iowa. The first one was when I had just started and I was so inspired by the beautiful things the more experienced hookers were working on. Plus everyone there was so welcoming and encouraging.
