Love the cattail pattern. I hope you show how you will finish it into a pillow when you are done.

I was taught that the roots of cattails can be cooked and eaten like potatoes. The cattail part can be used as a flour substitute after they age (explode, so best to put in a bag to collect). I personally haven’t tried yet because I haven’t found any I could trust haven’t been sprayed by chemicals.

Also I loved Deanne’s Sunday Letter this week. It reminded me of the many drives my family went on. Sometimes we’d turn onto a gravel road we’d never been on before and follow it just to see where it went. Yes, we sometimes ended up in the middle of a farmer’s field, in deep mud, or at the edge of water, and would have to reverse our way back out, but it was always a fun adventure. 🙂

I have recently started body pump and I question whether I should go up in weights. I want to get stronger but I don’t want to overdo it.

I question my cooking! Sometime, when I improvise it’s really bad, so I usually follow a recipe. I don’t know how some people gain confidence to cook without a recipe and make it taste good!

Some people aren’t afraid of eating bad food and that might be the key!
