I love the cooking addition to the Thursday lives! I haven’t tried the oatcake recipe yet, and I’ve made a couple batches of the cinnamon buns. Thanks again!

I tried to send this before but I think I messed it up.
One of my favourite rugs of Deanne’s is the monochromatic red one that she holds up to advertise the Inspiration Sessions. I would love it if Deanne would talk about doing a monochromatic and, specifically, about how many different wools would be used in such a rug. I have always wanted to do a monochromatic ( maybe a blue, a green, or a purple) and so do love to see Deanne’s red one.
Love the live and look forward to it every week!

Thank you so much Marnie, that rug is beautiful! You should go ahead and try it out, then show us how it turns out!

I really like wool with a sheen for interest. You could do the pot navy with a gold diamond.
Eyes usually glaze over when I talk about rug hooking. I don’t have a group to hook with so you are it and I appreciate the live VERY much. The live and rug hooking, the C.B.C., and the start of gardening are helping to get me through the current Canadian crisis.
I also love to look into the centres of flowers. From my sitting position I looked up to my amaryllis ( second set of four large red blooms!). I cut the stigma off as I would a lily to keep it blooming longer.
Many thanks,
Marnie

We are glad you have us to join to hook, if you are on our wild with wool facebook group you could ask if there are any groups in your area. There are rug hookers from all over in the group!

Here’s what is fun about the cooking aspect. 1) the cinnamon buns were so fun and easy. I plan to make them. 2) you are in a unique part of the world with different foods and traditions. I would love to know more about food specialities of the Maritimes. 3) it is another aspect of creativity that is very hygge, just like hooking.

I love the cooking you do! For me it compliments the rug hooking vibe perfectly 😊. I have a group I hook with and most times we meet someone spontaneously brings a treat. We hook, eat and talk about our creative processes.
