Don't believe what they tell you about the weeds

Don't believe what they tell you about the weeds.
They have their place too.
Sprouting up unwanted.
They can still belong.
Bringing wonder to their space.
Unbidden.
Little coral orchids
climbing through the hostas
reaching for the clapboard,
the window,
to see their own reflection.
Walking in the backdoor,
I pause at their beauty.
Uncalled for but not unwanted.
Thankful for a weed in September
when so many blooms have parted.

I’m a little behind on my reading but I love weeds…Queen Anne’s lace etc.
